Yesterday was a big day for Goodspeed hotspot and our customers throughout the world as we launched the new personal SIM feature. In addition to the SIMs pre-installed to the Goodspeed device or bought from uros.com, you can now add one personal SIM card to use your Goodspeed device in your country of residence.
But how do you do it, you might wonder. It’s quite simple really.
- Just insert the personal SIM card into your Goodspeed device and sign in to your account at uros.com using any internet connection available. You can see in your Summary page that you can now Add a Personal SIM card.
- Click the Add button and follow the instructions on the screen. The configuration should take between 5-10 minutes. Should you have an existing destination SIM for the same country, the personal SIM card will replace it automatically.
- After configuration you’ll be redirected to the page where you’re asked to insert the PIN code of your personal SIM card.
In case you use your Goodspeed device just in your home country with your personal SIM card, only the monthly fee will be charged. Other costs generated from using your personal SIM depend on your data plan and are charged by your mobile operator. The daily destination fees will be charged only if you use Goodspeed when abroad.
When you travel abroad, Goodspeed will recognize the correct destination SIM automatically and will use it accordingly. Given that you have the destination SIM for that country, of course. Be aware that when abroad, you can only use SIMs pre-installed to the device or bought from Uros.
With the new personal SIM feature we are now able to offer a more comprehensive Internet solution. The same easy to use hotspot and affordable Internet access will now be available also for domestic use.
If you haven’t added your personal SIM yet, why not do it now and rule your Internet needs with one device. Freedom to the people who travel whether at home or abroad!
